The St. Austell-owned building must step up its game. While initially advertised as a restaurant, there is no food served on site unless you are staying overnight and order breakfast in advance. It is a local hangout for young people with live music played on the ground floor. The room we stayed in was not up to par - it was dirty and the bathroom was recently renovated but the shower did not close properly. The bedroom was tiny with a window facing the noisy main street, providing little ventilation. The hosts were friendly, but overall it is best to avoid this place. Wifi was offered but we couldn't connect.
Amazing personal, excellent slang, dogs allowed in the rooms and in the pub/restaurant. we had breakfast in restaurant with the dog at our table very friendly staff, I would be very much to anyone looking for a few days accomodation.
As a sign outside the door said that “restaurant, good eating bar snacks” was recommended that they do not eat in an involuntary heart. It's a pity that they lost so much earlier business due to coronavirus. we were not willing to waste our money with a drink.
My husband I visited this pub whilst staying in the area fairly small place but very welcoming very clean good ale Sky sports wish the new landlords good luck success
