Mirchi Indian Cuisine

Our first visit to this restaurant and what a pleasant experience. Comfortable and no noisy music to contend with. The staff were very attentative and friendly, and the food was really well presented and excellent quality. I had the dansak, and my daughter enjoyed the jalfraisi (would recommend . Found the service and curry not that great to be honest very average but wow way too expensive. All meals were too oily, the bbq king prawn dish I couldn’t taste any bbq flavour and the prawns were way over done the tasted has if they were cooked from frozen. The service was not reflective of the 100 pounds we spent. Half the food was sent back. At the end of the meal I asked for the bill and when I presented the bill and my card to pay they asked if I could pay in cash. I said no and on their door has that they accept cards. He said we ‘we like cash’ I said I was paying by card then he said okay then do you require a receipt, I said yes and he huffed and puffed and eventually offered the machine to me to pay. Such a horrible experience at the end when also paying 100 pounds for the privilege. I’ll never return again not recommended.

Dont believe whats written on menu because for example rice does not come with dansak !!!!!!! Service hit and miss and didnt honour their mistake..

Called in midweek as saw a 2 for 1 offer on mains on a poster outside. We had a nice meal, albeit the service was a bit hit and miss. Would be happy to return but was spoilt when we came to pay the bill only to find 2 for 1 not applied. When questioned we were told that we had to specify we wanted that deal on ordering. Shame…. Won’t be returning!

Fancied an Indian takeaway while on holiday near Bude and tried another restaurant on recommendation first but, despite their website saying delivery with 2 miles, they refused to help. Called Mirchi who were pleased to help, take our order and deliver which turned out to be a blessing as the food was very good and delivered in double quick time. Can’t comment on the restaurant itself as we used the takeaway service but will try and book a table next time we’re in the area. Delivery personnel very friendly and polite, food, as advised above, hot, tasty and plentiful.
