Quintrell Inn Carvery

We had high hopes for a delightful family lunch on New Year's Eve, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. The restaurant we visited was a cold and unwelcoming pub with outdated decor. The carvery offered barely edible options, including three slices of severely overcooked, tough beef or dry turkey, along with hard, flavorless roasted potatoes and mushy vegetables. None of the 7 people in our group were able to finish their meals. Overall, it was a terrible dining experience and I would not recommend this restaurant.

We had a lovely experience at the big pub, despite it being very busy for a Wednesday. It was a bittersweet get together as we gathered to remember our Dad who passed away from Covid-19 three years ago. The four of us ordered steak and ale pie with chips, peas, and plenty of gravy, and it was the best steak pie I have ever had outside of my own kitchen. It was absolutely delicious and tasted just like homemade. Most of us also took advantage of the 2-for-1 burger special, with options including lamb and mint, salt and pepper beef, and chicken. My daughter opted for the lamb shank with mash and greens, and every plate was cleaned. The meal brought much-needed joy to our faces and we will definitely be returning to this pub more often. The value for money was exceptional. Kudos to Team Quint for a job well done.

The staff at this restaurant is lovely and friendly. We decided to try the roast dinner, which was a great deal for the price. We will definitely come back when we are in the area again.

We had a roast with all the trimmings, it was delicious and lots of it massive portions! The staff were all very pleasant friendly. We were staying nearby and happened to notice the Quintrell Inn so decided to give it a go and we weren’t disappointed, we’ll certainly go again when we’re next staying in the area.

Amazing restaurant. Service was excellent even in the busy periods always felt looked after and the staff are so friendly. Will defiantly be back!
