Great value for money, great sized portions and the fish and chips are the best in town. I will definitely be returning here!
Located just off the A30 north of Penzance, this chippy is a great spot for a no-frills meal. The portions are decent, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, they stay open into the evening, so you can grab a meal when you're actually hungry!
Just bought two fish and chips, when we got home and put them on our plates, the portions are a good size, but unfortunately the chips were not fresh but just warm and limp and the fish was like fish finger size, not happy and won’t be going there again.
Great food at an affordable price! We ordered a large cod with chips and mushy peas, kids had scampi and chips with tartar sauce, and we also got a large saveloy sausage, a fish cake, and a pickled egg. All of this only cost us a little over £13. The family was very happy with the meal. The restaurant is open later than most others in the area, which was a plus. Well done to John Dory (as it's also known)! We will definitely be back soon.
