Do pop in and support this cafe in what must have been and still is a very difficult time.
The place looked cosy and the cakes in the window looked inviting. Lovely little venue and the hostess was welcoming. Ordered a savory and a cream tea. Savory scone was lively and warm. Both were tasty and the place was as cosy as it looked through the window.
Quite new to the town and very welcome. Always busy sometimes annoying to us locals!! Dog is welcome.
... but my wife I were craving a cooling after-lunch treat on a warm June day. So we each ordered a single scoop of Cornish farm-made Roskilly's ice cream in small sugar cones, Salt Caramel for my wife and White Chocolate Raspberry for me. They each had good flavour, though I'd rate the creaminess as average for premium ice cream. But considering the prompt friendly counter service and the attractiveness of the small store, our visit to Truly Scrumptious earned a 4 Circle rating and two thumbs up recommending a refreshment stop for other visitors to East Looe.
We found this place by chance as we fancied cake and the cake shop we had been to before didn’t have any nice looking cakes. Truly Scrumptious has their cakes displayed in the window so we were swayed to go in. We weren’t disappointed, the cake was delicious, very reasonably priced so much so that we had caramel shortbread too, which was truly yummy. Plus we’ve been back today for more cake which yet again was delicious
