Wheal Dream Restaurant, Bar And Accommodation

Arranged my celebration here for last night. Over 30 of us. Always difficult for somewhere to cater for this many but staff were amazing and catered to our every need including my special dietary needs due to medical condition. There were a couple of food mistakes but these were rectified quickly and efficiently. I would defo go again.

Xmas lunch so very uninspiring warmed up no stuffing no heating on had to ask to put it on we were the only people there just four no smell of food being cooked very dissapointed certainlynot a place to go back to the date was 15/12/23 disgusted

Picked up a take-away roast and it was delicious. Huge portion, lots of fresh vegetables and the meat was great. Highly recommend! We will definitely be going back.

The lodges are great, big clean and tidy. All the facilities are kept up to date with lots for the kids to do. The bar and restaurant were excellent with outstanding food. Thanks

We were staying nearby in Porthleven and fancied a Sunday roast so, after checking Tripadvisor, we booked a table here. I’ve had many carveries over the years, too many of which have been mediocre and disappointing, but the quality of the food here was tiptop and such a massive surprise. With a choice of three succulent meats to choose from, I felt spoiled for choice but finally opted for beef and pork whilst my friend just had pork. We were both given three large, thick slices of perfectly cooked meat that was buttery soft and I can truthfully say that I’ve never had such a large amount of meat at a carvery. The meat was complemented by a fabulous choice of veg, all of which was fresh and not overcooked. The odd-sized Yorkshire puds were home-cooked too which, sadly, seems to be a rarity at carveries these days. This is easily one of the best carveries I’ve ever had and, at £15.95, excellent value. We couldn’t resist a dessert but, shamefully, our eyes were bigger than our tummies and neither of us managed to finish. All in all, this is a smashing place; staff were welcoming, service was perfect and there was a lovely atmosphere. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal and there was not a single negative.
