This Corolla restaurant is truly charming. The food is fresh and delicious, and the southern hospitality is unmatched. I appreciate when the chef and kitchen staff take the time to come visit your table and say hello.

NRPOs in Monteray Shores, good to get in after a busy summer season. Excellent prepared breakfast, good to see the back of the house and the food being prepared. Good food at beach prices. Cute place with average service. Counter service and food brought to you. Get there early as they run out of the good stuff.

I still miss this place. It had been highly recommended while we visited OBX-Corolla. The first day we arrived we decided to go here to grab some lunch. Hidden behind a gas station, you don't expect much. Very casual place where you order and seat yourself. Hubby and I chose the Chix Breast Wing Combo. I got mash potatoes and he got Fried Okra. A whole plate of Fried perfection. One guy walked up straight to the counter and ordered Chix Strips and Fries. I ordered that on my SECOND visit. Huge Strips of Chix and the fries were so good. I could only eat one and a half of another but finished the fries. We went AGAIN before we headed home and I ordered Chix Waffles. I was not expecting this place to have Liege waffles. OMG, Very little syrup needed. Corolla you've got a winner in the Chicken Coop.
