Feedback gevenWent to Gen Kai last Friday and basically got no service and no food after 1 hour. The owner was called and, in principle, she has not taken any responsibility for mixing. To make it worse, the review that she fell on the table was completely wrong to overload us for food we never got. So we send the check and the owner back to do some simple mathematics. Guess what, check comes back AGAIN wrong. Maybe his only I, but I don't want to eat SUSHI from all foods from such an incompetent owner. It took 30 minutes to get a real check. If the owner had any class, she would have the meal after an hour without food and no beverage refills or even questions about how we did it. This owner obviously feels legitimate and you should ask why they should eat in a facility when the owner is so out of the loop. If the owner is so attentive, what about quality much less safety of foods as we speak sushi here. Of course, I will do everything I can to keep people away from this place. Do not walk from this place. If I could give a zero star, I would.
This location is by far the worst place to get sushi in a 100 miles radius. The WORST service was received by not only the crew personnel, but also by the owner himself. On a Friday night of 7:00 you expect to wait a little longer for the food when you order, but waiting 50 min only 2/6 sushi rolls is more that everyone should wait. I waited 20 minutes after I had eaten the 2 reels to ask someone how it was. I had to remind the waitress what I had ordered TWICE MORE!! One hour and 10 minutes later and only 1/3 of your order served, I was annoyed, still hungry and embarrassing before my guest and so I ask the manager and the bill for what was eaten. Ten minutes later I got the owner a $65 bill for the complete order that was not even served! I explained my problem and told her she had a problem with time, even if it's a Friday night. My greater shock was that she wasn't even interested! She asked me what I expected her to do it! Well, she had 3 chefs and it was still the slowest place on the west coast. it was 20 minutes between sushi rolls that were ordered at the same time!!! I guess she plays a role on every order first for the whole restaurant. When I asked her why I would pay for food that was not even delivered to the table, she took the bill and said she was fixed. I got it back and I wasn't shocked that owners don't know how to add. My bill was for $33 and they adjusted it to $54. I'm not a person who screams in public, but they had me out. I didn't want to pay $21 extra to be treated like garbage, in fact I was already upset, I even had to pay the full price for two sushi rolls and a BAD evening. It took 2 more attempts and 3 more people to just blame me for what I consumed. I'll never go back and I'll keep someone from it. The owner clearly doesn't care how she serves people... the food can be fresh, but this will only get you so far. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! BEWARE!!!! NO PROS Cons: BAD SERVICE FROM OWNER, no parking, stupid waiting staff, can not add, no excuse
