The reason was I asked for the Tri -tip special medium rare and it came well done. I spoke with the waitress who informed me it was the last Tri Tip I would have had no problem if they told me, it was the last one and it may be well done. I would have ordered something else. They did correct it with another steak. My friend ordered the sweet potato fries, and they came to the table burnt. I will return maybe it was a bad night.
Service was excellent, food was good, cocktail even better! Only disappointing thing was the plastic straws. One would think, especially being so close to the ocean, that The Alley would switch to paper, or at least give guests the option to refuse the plastic ones... but they came automatically.
The food was delicious, service was great. We were able to get a table in the back of the restaurant, so it was not very noisy. We have one person in our party that has a problem with hearing. This was not our first time and we enjoy coming back.
As always, it was a great experience. It was our first time for Sunday brunch at The Alley and was delicious. My only complaint was the noise level made it almost impossible to have a conversation.
They have really gone down hill. I ordered Eggs Benedict traditional. The cheif actually let his food cross the hot lamp. Hollandaise was curdled and tasted rancid. The cheesy potatoes were literally shredded cheese melted on top of there potatoes? . I could have made that at home ?If your a boozer I suppose it's a place to do thst.#gross we didn't eat it and was not charged.
