It was a great experience. I would recommend it to all . Service terrific. Atmosphere nice ambiance.
We were in the hotel loews for a meeting and so it was easy in the first night to go to mistral. the host greeted us and we had a nice conversation with him when he sat on a window. the menu is short, but eating is very good. I had scallops with bok choy and mushrooms with dabs of possibly sweet potato on the plate. succulent and delicious. my man had the duck he said was in order (finicky duck person! we had no dessert. I had a beautiful glass lyric by etude pinot smooth and fruity. a very pleasant evening. our second night we decided to come back because we didn't want to go to coronado. continue our talk with our host, who welcomed us like old friends this time. we had both wag yu tri tip, which was served with green beans and found it delicate and tasty. I had a glass orfila benign neglected syrah that was a good choice with the bark. that's a weeberg I didn't hear from. tonight we had dessert. Raspberry cheesecake for me with raspberry sorbet, my man had its ordinary vanilla ice cream. cheesecake was light and creamy and only the perfect size portion after the whole meat. two good dinners. would come back if ever again in the hotel.
Plan was to go to this restaurant while at the loew's resort for silvester celebration. big mistake. book for 6 and twice called to confirm. show up in the restaurant and the woman at the front says the reservation is for 6 at the bar. strike one. she agrees that doesn't make any sense and gets us a table for 10 immediately next to the musician. the table is not even fixed. strike two. we say no, they bring us to a table for six, but there are only 5 chairs. the personal does nothing, so we pull our sixth chair to the table. strike three. the waiter finally shows us a menu that is a fixed menu of nothing but vegetarian selection. the website for the restaurant said nothing about a fixed menu and we had planned to order from the menu. strike four. we will then be given the regular fixed menu with 2 participants for selection, both completely unobtrusive. oh, and everyone on the table had to get either the 3 curs or 5 curs, not take off. what a sweat. strike five and we went out. will never go there again.
For christmas with elder and friend. did not know that it was a prefix menu, but the menu had enough to offer. eating is very good, and they have taken special diets. the service was good. but that's expensive. but would certainly go back.
