Poke 123 - Coronado

I was visiting Coronado while residing in Orange County, and as a regular poke enthusiast, I can confidently say this place is among the best I've experienced. They offer an impressive variety of proteins and toppings—definitely the most extensive selection I’ve seen in a long time. There are some truly unique options as well. I deducted one star due to the pricing; a large bowl and a soda set me back $20. While everything on the island tends to be expensive, this was the priciest poke bowl I've ever had at a quick-service spot. Additionally, they provide 4 scoops of protein instead of the 5 that many other places offer for a similar bowl size. Despite the cost, I plan to return several more times during my trip.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend the 1-2-3 tuna. I ended up going back multiple times during my stay in San Diego.

The fish and ingredients were incredibly fresh, but the overall flavor was quite dull, and the rice was dry. Given the restaurant’s high ratings in the area, I honestly expected more. The only time I really tasted something was when I had a piece of pickled ginger with each bite, as the three bites that actually had the sauce I ordered were the only exceptions. It was very underwhelming. Additionally, I was disappointed to only be provided with a fork and no chopsticks—quite lame.

I loved it, I especially love supporting local owned, non-franchise restaurants. The food was fresh and well put together. I found Poke123 from a vegan friendly app (Happy Cow)and the vegan options were questionable. So I plea to the staff, to please clarify the vegan options and label them. I will be back soon????

So good! Go to place after a workout at Sweat Circuit! I encourage all my cients to fill up on something healthy after they workout. This is the place to do that! Love all the different protein options!
