The atmostphere, the music and the quality fo service were excellent. Monsu was our favorite bartender that she poured on Monday and Wednesday evening during our visit. All bartenders were excellent, but they really stood up to us!
What a beautiful room. I was mesmerized by the huge lamp hanging over the bar, which offers a perfect level of warm light. All staff of the bar were wonderful-warm, helpful, generous, attentive. We had delicious cocktails and snacks late at night, and we had... Breakfast there the last day. Our waiter Eduardo was a gem, funny, friendly. The food was delicious. I'd like to come back soon.
We really wanted to love the Living Room Bar as we were guests in the W. It was absolutely stunning and beautiful but really lacked in the hospitality department. The bartenders here were the least friendly staff in the entire resort and didn't seem... want to be harassed. Overall unimpressed, although it was a very nice place to have a drink.
First and foremost, this is a hotel bar. You would come here for a cocktail or for a night cap. It is multi level so you can either sit at the bar or one of the couch area's. And they do serve bar bites. I...was here mid week and not much was going on. But on Friday and Saturday night, I am sure this place picks up. DJ also spinning tunes. 3 stars mid week 4 stars Friday and Saturday.
Stay in this hotel for a week. Had hoped that this (or everywhere, really) would have a kind of social or community scene, but it never happened. The hotel was sold out, but we never saw more than 2 groups (5-6 people... total) at this bar. The drinks were good as the service, but nothing about the experience was unforgettable or fun. You should hold events or issue drinks vouchers or have special or something. Huge missed opportunity, and because this bar is so dead and there is not another bar, the entire W experience falls flat.
