Sufi - CORRAL DEL RISCO

I really like the location. Great views. Open and airy. You are outside with overhang and ceiling fans and good breeze off the ocean. I felt like I was in Miami or coastal LA. There was definitely a scene or vibe. Very interesting and fun people watching. The food was great also. I would definitely recommend for the experience.

Sufi is a good choice when looking for dinner places on the peninsula inside the Punta Mita gates. The location is beautiful, the restaurant's unique open air design is beautiful, and the food was good. The only negative I would say is that there were a lot of big groups and the wait staff was a little busy. We ate late at 9:00pm and they were still not as attentive as they could have been. But I would still go back again.

We stayed at the St Regis and the hotel took us this restaurant by golf cart since it was so close. Restaurant is on an outdoor deck with beautiful view of ocean. Service is efficient and friendly. I ordered the duck confit which was so tender and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the seafood paella which was excellent too, covered with fresh shrimp, fish and mussels. . Also recommend the watermelon with feta salad to start which was tasty and refreshing. Highly recommend this place for dinner when in Punta Mita!

My husband and I ate at Sufi the first night of our stay in Punta de Mita (at The St. Regis Hotel). We had a magical and incredibly delicious dinner with a view of the bay. The food, the ambience and the wait staff were all perfect and contributed to the memorable evening. My husband and I had the arugula salad (he does not usually like salad, but with pears and sweetened nuts, they had him). My husband then had the butterflied shrimp entree which he said was the best shrimp he's ever eaten. I had the duck which was succulently prepared with a blackberry sauce.Our waiter recommended a white wine for my husband which was excellent and I tried the Mexican red blend that was recommended on TripAdvisor. It is full bodied and was delicious with the duck. I'm fighting back an urge to return to the restaurant tonight.

We've been to the top rated restaurants in the area over the past week. Sufi was the best by a good margin. The food and service was outstanding. The tuna flatbread appetizer alone was worth the visit. Jaime, our waiter, was friendly but not intrusive and made wonderful suggestions. Overall the best meal of our vacation hands down.
