Perea's Tijuana - Corrales

This is a fantastic family-owned local spot with a cozy atmosphere and a concise menu of Mexican cuisine. The patio is lovely, though it can get quite warm in the summer! The service is always top-notch!

The owner was generous enough to let my friends from Corrales and me try the Fortaleza Winter Blend. We were all thrilled—OMG! We asked if we could buy a bottle, and even though he only had five available, he sold us two without inflating the price to $90 each. I’ve seen some places asking for $330 to $400 per bottle lately. Regardless, we had a blast trying to guess who would open their bottle first so we could drop by and taste it! I am determined to arrive at this place on a rented mule, burrow, or donkey, and tie it up out front at the hitching post. That feels like the right way to enter and exit this historic and wonderful establishment. We’re fortunate to have discovered this hidden gem in beautiful Albuquerque. I hear they sometimes open at 10 a.m., so the plan is to have breakfast at Hannah and Nate's, then stroll over to rent one of those animal transports and waddle or clop our way to the bar by 10 a.m. It may seem terribly unprofessional and undignified, but it’s going to be an incredible amount of fun—and maybe a blackmail-worthy photo or two. No snapshots today, though; you'll know what awaits you if you visit. It’s not about getting wasted; it’s about appreciating the rich history with dignity and respect, while truly enjoying this quirky, genuine little town.

This place is incredible! There aren't many spots like this left in Corrales. They serve delicious sopapillas and green chile! Make sure to chat with the locals while you're here. If you're in search of good food, this is the place to be—just be friendly and sociable! If you're looking for a more unwelcoming atmosphere, you might want to check out Hannah and Nate's instead.

Service: Extremely informal and pleasant. Make sure the waitress repeats your order. Food: mediocre at best. Ambiance: Relaxed, old style pub. Ideal for a relaxed date with girlfriend (not first date) or family get together. Prices: reasonable

Loved this place from the moment we walked in!!! Outstanding service and food!!! I had not been there for close to 30 years!!! It holds the same magic Kudos to the Pereas for keeping the traditions Impressive bar!!! Very well stocked with not only the regular choices but many unique options! We had a birthday party of 20 and still had outstanding service!!! Lots of beautiful rooms/ choices to ea I can 't wait to go back!!!
