Rifugio Frara - CORVARA IN BADIA

A really nice place to stop and eat something. The place is at the top of the Gardena pass, and the views are jawdropping. The food is good, traditional and big quantities, but it is not cheap at all. We had a nice time eating there.

I have stayed here four times! Summer and winter stays here offer direct access to hiking trails and skiing. It is a perfect location and the Insam family takes great care of you. The dormitory lodgings on the third floor are spacious and have lots of electric plugs for your devices. The room accommodations are very comfortable with fantastic views of the mountains. Dinners are great home style Italian fare perfect after a full day of being outdoors.

Good selection of tasty beer and soft drinks, and great view. Polenta was tastier than other places we experienced. Beef goulash was tasty and the mixed salad was one of the best quality salads in this area. The entrecôte was a little chewy but cooked to perfection. Service was excellent except for the usual trying to flag down the server at the end of the meal.

Prima di andare in passeggiata e salutare i nostri amici ci fermiamo per una merenda in questo rifugio, ottima scelta sia per il cibo che per la cortesia del personale, vi lascio solo immaginare la vista sulla vallata che sia ammira dalla terrazza.

Bella terrazza, cucina nella media e personale abbastanza gentile. Canederli, piatto di tagliatelle, due birre medie, uno strudel, un caffé e un acqua a forse un po'troppo in relazione alla qualità.
