Lovely b&b , nice friendly staff. We paid £85 for b&b and would go again. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
Old fashioned vibe about the place but a little lacking of maintenance but it does have character and was reasonably priced and close to where we needed to be. Was fairly quiet but a little weird from checkin to checkout and had no atmosphere. Rooms: Very small but cosy. We were in the roof top floor but was clean. Not a lot of space for luggage. Food drinks: The breakfast was pretty bad for a continental breakfast its never seen a cotintent. Toast, cereal and coffee there was a very small packet of meats. Drinks from the bar were reasonable and put on our tab. Noteworthy details: Its a bit creepy
Grim. The lad ‘welcoming’ wasn’t. The lady who works here (Romanian? was very friendly. Was shown to the smallest room in the loft. Which is very small, outdated, and very dirty. I managed to wedge the filthy window open with coat hangers as the room was like a sauna (despite outside being a cool night . Woken every 5 minutes by very loud lorries passing the window on the road below. The bathroom is tiny and filthy (see pictures . Oh, and the room stinks of greasy food, either from some extractor fans nearby, or possibly the previous guest. In summary, avoid.
If you need a place en route to Anglesey or a place to lay your head after a day fishing the nearby River Dee this is ideal. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the welcome sincere and the hotel possesses the most charming Ambassador from Romania who is the housekeeper. What more can you ask for. Rooms: 4 Service: 4 Location: 5
