The afternoon you called here when all other local restaurants were closed. the front (street side) area is like a street side diner and in the heck there is a pleasant bright and airy restaurant. not all items are available throughout the day, which is a scandal. but we found the place so well we called again two times. the spaghetti with garlic picante is very good and beautifully seasoned. spaghetti with clams and mustels excellent, cordon bleu a la cassa is a pork fillet filled with prochetta? cheese and excellently covered with tomato and parmesan. pork shank (stinco di maiale) excellent juicy ****. In kanada zio artu would probably be called a truck stop. it is a few kilometers south of amantea from a very wide beach and a nearby marina. we often stay in amantea, but sometimes they come here for the beach or for out...pizza zio artu is definitiw a small family owned and operated as they will see, members looking for a baby and various family members can serve them. they have a restaurant, but we have only eaten at the take-out counter and ordered twice, take pizza and back to our hotel. they have a pizza menu, but will build a pizza for them. the prices are very reasonable. we eat here and would recommend it for a light lunch or pizza.
