We booked a table for 9 people and every one of us enjoyed the evening. Yes we were presented...with breads and olives that were charged to our final bill but what else do you do when you’re with great company but chat and nibble while waiting for the main event? And at only €2.4 each this represented great value for what we got. Ordering food from a tablet was great fun for the younger ones. One of us in the party even decided to leave the menu and go on google to do a bit of surfing while the rest of us contemplated the fairly extensive menu choice! Some people on here have complained about the friendliness of the service but we found every single person to be friendly and efficient. When someone doesn’t speak English then it’s us that has to make allowances and not the native speaker?! There were some misunderstandings but that was our fault for not speaking Portuguese and all misunderstandings were quickly rectified. Our group of 9 ordered a wide variety of food from pizzas to pastas to steaks and one of us was gluten free. All of us enjoyed our meals. Yes, the food will be better in some restaurants in Italy but I can’t imagine there will be many restaurants that can match it for value €150 including drinks and two bottles of wine and dessert for 9 people!! The Red Wine we were recommended was a Dao for only €12, it will be difficult to get any wine as good as this for the equivalent price in any British supermarket never mind restaurant. We are 4 days in during our week long holiday but we think we will be back before the end of the holiday! Thank you very much for a lovely meal, we all immensely enjoyed the experience and would like to thank everyone of you for such a fantastic evening.
Disappointed with this “almost” Italian restaurant. Service is very slow and waiters never smile or comeback to the table to ask if is all fine. The wine bottle arrived opened to the table with the excuse that is house policy : After serving the meal,...no Parmesan or olive oils or other Italian toppings are proposed to ‘spice’ pizza or pasta. Small portions for the price presented. Pizza base is hard, looks frozen quality !! The Risotto is actually a tomato rice, no texture, just simple boiled rice with tomato and some shrimps. 5 tables while we were there, 4 waiters couldn’t assist all time, we needed to keep calling them. Someone that seemed to be the boss, came out only to check the cash in the counter. For a restaurant that tries to have a nice deco, using a chef slogan “by Pontes” , is really not at the level they are trying to be, no one liked the food!
Lovely food, good staff we had dinner here two nights during our stay in Caparica. Defentily the best restaurant in the area
