Temakira - Costa Mesa

This is my favorite spot for a bite to eat. I really enjoy the Salmon Katsu and Negihama. My daughter likes to customize her rolls. The Poke Salad is also a fantastic dish for the family to share.

Love this little place! They make the best hand rolls bar none! The yellowtail collar was very good too! Prices are fair.

What a terrific Japanese handroll only restaurant to have in the neighborhood. It is a scaled down fast food version of a sushi bar serving handrolls ', soups and bowls. You can get beer and saki and the food is quite delicious. The staff is friendly and the selection is very good. I have yet to have a sub par meal here and I am probably on my 51st visit. You know a place is good when you yearn for it after spending $95.00 at a traditional sushi restaurant and thinking Temakira is just as good for $25.00.

A little out of my way normally, but I was able to stop by on a day off to try this place out. Clean, modern decor and the staff was extremely friendly! I tried 2 handrolls $4.75 each) Zesty Miso : One of their originals. Salmon chunks with miso lemon, daikon sprouts, cucumber and tobiko! This was delicious and very hearty. Negi Hama : A more traditional handroll that has yellowtail, green onion, with olive oil and lemon. This was very light tasting but filling as well. I really liked both of these rolls! Will be back to try Tekka, Poke, and supposedly the The Garden vegetarian) is really good. They even have a variety of flavors on Ginger Ale that tastes amazing.

Great for a quick roll. Order at register for take out or eat in. Small bar (5 seats) for beer or sake. Not a traditional sushi bar.
