The Potting Shed at Dormy House

We reserved a table in the garden area at Dormy House while staying near the Fish Hotel. The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was delicious. However, the service was confusing and we had some issues with our wine order. Despite a great wine selection, there was a mistake on the list and we ended up receiving a different wine than what we ordered. After some delays, we finally got our wine but it was brought to the table without a cork. Our server seemed overwhelmed and was not attentive to our needs. When it came time to pay, we had to wait a long time and encountered more problems with the transaction. Overall, the experience was disappointing and we will not be returning.

When we booked this restaurant 2 months ago, the website showed a completely separate menu from the Potting Shed restaurant. We have the garden room in our 2. Night due to the different menus posted on the website, we were very disappointed to get the same menu as we had eaten from the night before. This is very lazy and totally unacceptable. If we had said we had eaten in another facility.

The food was fantastic earned a Michelin Star, error-free! Would highly recommend

The chef clearly scoffs at the idea that less is more and is firmly in the camp of more is more. There was a lot going on in every dish. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn't. With the desserts, it didn't. Neither of us liked our desserts, nor understood what they we supposed to be. The server also brought me the wrong wine, which was disappointing.
