We've just visited for our 3rd New Year's Eve meal. The menu, priced at €45 was excellent value. 8 courses included a cocktail with delicious canapés, lobster, a trio of foie gras, prawns scallops, tournedos, biche (deer), a trou charentais (a sorbet with Marc), a good assiette gourmande (a dessert sampler) and a glass of champagne. The regular menus won't make a hole in your wallet. The restaurant has recently changed hands but, apart from a bit of a decor makeover, little has changed. Well worth a visit.
Often wonder how some restaurants make money and this epitomises that fact. Being going regularly for 10 years and the meals have been consistently better than good.
We found this lovely restaurant years ago and have always had a warm welcome from the owners: two brothers from a local village. Its rather plain exterior belies a hidden gem. The food is wide ranging from typical local French fare to the more exotic snail or kangaroo dishes. The terrace is an especially lovely place to eat in the warmer months and inside is a traditional restaurant used by guests, local business and holiday makers alike. Well worth a visit.
A great welcome by employees and employers. Then the menus of the day are great, I'm not talking about their burger
Very nice place the bosses and employees are at the top. If you go there (or even if you make a detour) don't hesitate to stop at the walk. Fresh vegetable food from the local producer. I highly recommend this restaurant to you 100%.
