The staff in the shop area are fantastic; they manage to juggle a lot of tasks but still manage to get customers served quickly. However, the fuel area can be hit or miss depending on the time of day, though they generally do a decent job. There’s a wide variety of merchandise to browse in the fuel area, and the restaurant consistently serves food that is hot and fresh.

This is the cleanest truck stop we have ever visited! Other truck stop chains should take note. The restrooms are spotless, and each stall has its own sink, which is a nice touch. The couples' shower was also very well-maintained, featuring excellent water pressure and an ample supply of hot water. Additionally, the bathtub is great for soaking. The customer service at this location is outstanding; the staff is courteous, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The store is well-stocked with a variety of tasty snacks and plenty of interesting items for purchase. The parking lot and surrounding area are impeccably clean, making it a fantastic place to let our furry friends stretch their legs. We will definitely make this our go-to stop every time we pick up or deliver a load in Council Bluffs!

This restaurant is wonderful, featuring friendly staff and tasty food, all within a clean setting. One of the highlights is that there are no trucks parked in the fuel lanes for long periods. Additionally, there's a Blue Beacon truck wash located right in the parking lot, which is extremely convenient. Access from I-80 and I-29 is also a breeze. I highly recommend this place!

As for the dining experience, the Apple Barrel restaurant is fantastic! I tried the chicken fried steak and it was truly one of the best I've ever had. Their pies are also outstanding. I sampled the Oreo pie while my fiancé enjoyed the apple pie, and both were absolutely delightful. The staff was exceptional—during both our dinner and breakfast, our waitresses were attentive and efficient, ensuring our drinks were always full and our food arrived quickly. Overall, the restaurant and gas station are very well-maintained and clean. I definitely plan to stop by here again!

The women’s restrooms were impressive, featuring full sinks in each stall. The store offers unique items that you won't find at typical truck stops. There is plenty of parking available for bobtail trucks, but the entrance for larger trucks can be confusing. The restaurant's food was a bit expensive considering the quality wasn't great, and with only one server on duty, the wait times were quite long.
