Despite our usual preference for spicy food, we opted for a milder option and ordered two Chicken Tikka Nawabi dishes - a creamy coconut dish. We also had onion and garlic rice, as well as a Peshwari Naan. The delivery was prompt and the food was incredibly delicious. This meal was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've had in a while.
After trying all the takeout options in Washington, we decided to try something new. We both ordered the Tandoori Mixed Grill. Despite being told it would take an hour for delivery, our food arrived in just 25 minutes, which was impressive considering the distance from Pelton to Washington. The food was decent overall. The lamb was a bit tough and the prawn still had the skin on, which I personally don't like as it can be messy to remove. The chicken cubes, chicken on the bone, and sheek kebab were tasty, but some of the other chicken was a bit slimy. Although not the best, it certainly wasn't the worst. They offer a variety of dishes on their menu, including some unique options not commonly found at other curry restaurants. I'm not a fan of the preset meal options or supposed bargain deals, as they often limit your choices and may not be as good of a deal as they seem. A nice touch was receiving two complimentary popadoms.
We ordered four main dishes and four rices from this Indian takeaway, but were disappointed with the bland and not very tasty or spicy flavors. The Tikka lamb sag, Chicken Makani, Chicken Hariali green curry, and Shatkora chicken bhuna were all lackluster. We felt that we have had better boxed curries from the supermarket that were also cheaper than the £35 we paid for this take away. The lamb was tough and there was not much meat in the dishes. The Chicken Makani was overly sweet. The Chicken Hariali green curry did not look appetizing. Overall, this was a very basic curry experience and we would not choose to order from this curry house again.
Absolutely disgusting chips like pieces of dried cardboard ordered to give them the benefit of the doubt but no more !!!
We ordered by phone and were told it would be a one hour wait. After an hour and a quarter a phone call to chase we were told it was on its way. Over an hour and a half the delivery arrived. One meal completely missing, one incorrectly made with tikka lamb not ordinary lamb. Everything cold and absolutely dreadful, no resemblance to the dishes ordered and naan bread like the soles of your shoes. This qualifies as the worst Indian food ever and the shoddiest service from a takeaway in all my experience. Do yourself a favour and avoid this establishment.
