This restaurant served one of the best rib eye steaks I have ever tried, if not the absolute best. It has a family-friendly atmosphere, similar to a beefeater pub but even better. The rib eye was fantastic and well-priced. The service was friendly, just as you would expect in the North East. I am staying nearby for a short holiday and will definitely be coming back for another meal.

We called late in the day to make a reservation after seeing the positive reviews, and we were fortunate to get a table. The staff was fantastic and pleasant, providing quick service. The highlight of our experience was the amazing food. We ordered a medium rare steak, a mixed grill, and gammon with pineapple. All three dishes were beautifully presented on a hot skillet, sizzling hot. The meat, from the steak to the gammon, was juicy, expertly cooked, and of high quality. The grilled tomatoes were hot and juicy, just as I like them, and were accompanied by diced hot onions, garden peas, and the usual chips. We also ordered onion rings on the side. We were not disappointed and would definitely return when in the area. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others.

Lovely food and friendly and helpful staff can cater for all allergy and intolerances have a fantastic tablet that's so easy to use : great value for money would definitely recommend this pub to everyone.

Son and I stopped for spot of lunch. We both had the lasagne and really enjoyed it. The lasagne should be on The National Health in my view. Staff great and prices competitive.
