40 Knots Winery - Courtenay

We had an unexpected detour during our day at 40 knots and decided to check out this restaurant. The building offers a modern experience, and they definitely delivered on that promise. The outdoor seating is fantastic, and the team members were incredibly helpful. They also serve some impressive wines. Cultivating in a cooler climate is no easy feat, and it's clear that they are dedicated to educating guests in this area. We appreciated the unique presentation of the tasting flight, and we enjoyed the brand's humorous take on wine as entertainment. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area. While it may not align with your usual tastes or typical expressions, it’s fun, fresh, and well-managed.

This beautiful winery is perfect for an afternoon getaway. The wine flights offer a great chance to sample a variety of wines available, and the picnic menu pairs wonderfully with them. I highly recommend adding this spot to your "must-visit" list in Comox Valley!

The location is absolutely stunning, and the wine is exquisite. We had the wonderful opportunity to pair our drinks with charcuterie and cheese, all beautifully displayed on a charming wooden board. The cheeses and chutneys come in generous portions, allowing diners to take home any leftovers they can't finish. I highly recommend trying a flight of both white and red wines.

Very relaxing atmosphere and very intuitive tasting experience. big zitrus wines, honestly may not go wrong with any of them, the choice has something for everyone. the gift shop area has some really unique things, the tees and body products are particularly interesting.

Great atmosphere and good wines. You can grab some cheese and bread to go with your wine tasting and sit in their expansive, covered picnic area.
