Match Eatery Public House - Courtenay

Food, service, and atmosphere is all good but charging $12.00 for a 16oz pint in a small town (courtenay) including tip is outrageous. I've edited this post from 1 star to 3 because I was pretty upset to see your price increases when I wrote the original review. You make so much money from all those old folks , I watch and see. The least you could do is have affordable food and drink prices. You used too! I used to like stopping in for a couple quick games and a couple pints, not anymore. Hope you fix it.

The pizza was fine, calamari was super salty, so was our server. We felt we were inconveniencing her by being there. Who knows, maybe she had stuff going on. No complaints about the time it took, just what we felt was attitude. $14 for a 9oz glass of wine that was not 9oz, maybe 6. 'Manager ' reluctantly gave us a discount. Oh well, live and learn. Won 't be back. Food: 3
