The quality of their coffee is top-notch, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful in recommending the perfect blend based on your preferences. Additionally, they offer delicious pastries, including gluten-free options, which I really appreciate. The atmosphere is welcoming, with free wifi available, making it a great place to relax, catch up with a friend, or get some work done while enjoying a cup of coffee.
I visited this restaurant today and it seemed like a great place with a wide variety of options for tea, coffee, and snacks. I tried a latte and a grilled cheese, both of which were delicious. The space was nice for meeting or working. I would definitely come back, and the staff was friendly as well.
I highly recommend visiting Red Tree's second location at 2456 Rosewall Crescent. This cozy café offers the same delicious coffee, meals, and treats as their convenient kiosk along the riverside trail, but with the added bonus of being close to downtown. Known as "Tin Town" by locals, this café is like a mini art gallery, with a great selection of tables and excellent service. There's even a designated area for children to play in, and free Wi-Fi available. We absolutely loved our experience here!
The old venue for Freakin' Coffee/Rewind has emerged as the new home of Red Tree Coffee. While they retain their little coffee hut by the Airport, they have added a creperie to their business. The venue has been completely transformed and now serves crepes to order at very reasonable prices. I have only visited twice, but the idea revolves around sweet and savory crepes, and if you want a substantial treat, get one of each. They make the crepes in front of you, and it is the French fast-food, and siply delicious. As well, the Red Tree coffee has earned a reputation for being a quality brew.
Thank heavens for Red Tree. These young people know how to roast coffee. Ever since Starbucks, a good medium roast is hard to find, generally done too dark. But here it 's done to perfection. Your coffee is freshly ground and poured over while you wait. They offer single origin varietals so you can get Rwanda, Yirgacheffe, and all those other tasty delights (in season). I 've been spoiled by roasters like JJ Beans in Vancouver, Bows Arrows in Victoria, etc. So to have Red Tree here is a blessing. This isn 't a restaurant, though..it 's a little 'roadside stand ' on the river path, so don 't expect coffee house seating or late hours. A great cup of fresh full strength coffee is what it 's all about. Beans available. Nice people, too.
