They offered sockeye salmon and albacore tuna, with the latter being a threatened fish species. The nigiri was too cold and lacked flavor, with poorly cut fish. Overall, the restaurant also offers an "all you can eat" option.
We were delighted to discover such a lovely sushi restaurant for our dinner. The experience of sitting cross-legged or lounging as we enjoyed our sushi was both enjoyable and comfortable. Every roll we tried was delicious, and we had a great time selecting from the diverse menu options.
Food was great, decor very inviting with separate rooms, there is the typical sushi bar with stool, tables and private rooms. Lots to choose from on the menu for those that do not like raw sea food. Staff are able to explain the dishes and are friendly.I had one of the binto boxes and there was lots to eat. Very clean, washrooms were clean and atmosphere very inviting.
Okay you have some pretty good choices for Japanese in the Comox Valley. Sushi Kobo wins my heart for sushi every time. Still, the little rooms at Yamamoto are special and the slip of a baked and seasoned oyster off its shell is pretty sweet.
And the service supirior nice place fun good food and good prices tyhe sushi was excellent I love it
