Del's Lemonade - Coventry

Recently, my son and I visited the Del's location in Coventry while cycling along the Washington Secondary Bike Path. There's truly nothing like enjoying an ice-cold Del's lemonade on a hot day while biking! The Coventry location is conveniently just a short detour from the bike trail. During our visit, they offered three flavors: Lemon, Watermelon, and Cherry. I opted for the classic Lemon, while my son chose Watermelon. Both flavors were incredibly refreshing! In addition to their signature frozen lemonades, this location also featured a selection of snacks and merchandise. However, I did have a couple of minor complaints: the flavor options were quite limited, and there was no seating available. I understand that this location primarily operates as a take-out, but I’ve noticed that some other Del's locations offer picnic tables for customers to enjoy their treats on-site. Like many Del's spots, the Coventry location is cash-only.

I want to start by saying that I have loved the drinks here for years, but the prices have skyrocketed! I'm not sure if it's due to inflation or something else, but charging $5 for a large slushy is outrageous, especially when you can get a large slushy at Cumberland Farms for just $0.99, and theirs is nearly twice the size of Del's. However, I will admit that the slushies from Cumberland Farms aren't as good. Overall, I still think it's worth visiting this place occasionally, but it's frustrating that a local spot like this has become so pricey.

I've loved Del's since I was born! It's a hometown classic and one of my must-visit spots every time I return to Rhode Island.

I absolutely love it! This place is a must-visit if you're in the area. It never disappoints. My personal favorite is the Watermelon dish.

Google said it was open and it's not. We are visiting from Colorado and were really excited to get some Del's Lemonade. 4 stars cuz it's great even though we didn't get any this time.
