Chillibite And Grill - Coventry

Think this place is now called ‘Royal Spice’. Food is very good Punjabi fare. Service is terrible. Been here a couple of times now. Will try again when next in area.

Being a food blogger for a while , happened to spend some time in Coventry , one of my friends told me to order from here and review it . So I ordered Mix grill , Chicken Tilka Biryani and Chicken Achari . The food arrived on time . The grill was good , tasted fresh , no complaints. The Chicken Achari was a confused dish in itself . The chicken breast pieces in them didnt taste fresh at all had a frozen taste and the curry was just sloppy. Definitely spicy ! The Chicken Biryani was a disaster. I mean for starters it is not Biryani at all . It was some cheap quality long grain rice made with chinese sauces and mixed peppers . You tell me , who uses mixed peppers in a Chicken Biryani? It was jokes . The dish tasted like what you would make with your leftover rice from last night with some random sauces added for flavour. I was given a raita (curd salad) and it had gone off and had to throw it in the bin . Overall a not so good experience. Paid a whopping £28 !!!! Something i always feel and write strongly about is ‘ Consistence of your soul’ . If you run a takeaway and charge pretty high prices for such tasteless and hopeless food where clearly either the cook doesn’t care or you as a owner dont ! Whats the point making such money which wont be of any use in the future . Karma ...... Give this place a miss guys !

Ordered some starters of Papri Chaat and Aloo Tikki Chaat on 27/0/2020. It arrived within the specified 1 hour delivery quoted. Was really looking forward to having it only to find far too much chilli in both to the extent I had to consume milk and yogurt and could not feel my mouth, lips or tongue afterwards. Sweat pouring off my face ...... really no need for that extreme amount of chilli which ruined both dishes. Will not be ordering from this establishment again :

Wow again....this place is amazing everytime. The food, happy people, great service. Everytime we come we can't wait to come back absolutely delicious. Hopefully going to get a takeaway tonight if they're open.

Clean facilities, Good friendly service, Lovely food served piping hot. Plates were nice and hot too. Excellent experience.
