I booked through open table but when I got there they had no reservation under my name. Was very annoying and was told the next available table will be 45mins time.

I have noticed over the years the food side of the business has improved significantly from the early days . The food now and the service at the Elms is normally excellent. The staff are polite and attentive. There is always a good choice of dishes which are really well cooked. One main issue I think could be dramatically improved is the choice of beers. You once could have ordered Pedigree or UBU or very often guest ales but now the choice is extremely poor and mundane. Another factor is the beer is certainly dearer by some margin than a few years ago. So down on two points when it comes to beverage unfortunately choice and price. Summary Food quality and service is on the up. Beverages price and choice needs to be reviewed. Kind Regards Gary
