Island Delight - Coventry

I have ordered takeout from Island Delight a few times and the food is delicious and authentic. The Jerk Chicken meal (consisting of Jerk Chicken breast, rice and peas, steamed veggies, and Jamaican brown sauce) is always excellent quality and the portions are generous. I will definitely return if I am craving Caribbean cuisine in the north of Coventry again.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant after trying food from their stall at the Earlsdon Festival. We tried the mutton curry with rice and dumplings both times, and we were not let down. The portion sizes were generous for a reasonable price. We will definitely be returning as it offers a nice alternative to the typical Indian or Chinese takeout options.

I frequently visit Island Delight and always order the Jerk Chicken with Rice, Peas, and vegetables. I have never been let down. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. The food tastes like a delicious home-cooked meal.

After visiting on several occassion I can confirm that I am most disappointed with the food. The cooking was second class and not a true reflection of Jamaica cuisine.

If you are looking to experience authentic Jamaican cuisine, then this is the place for you. We travel from Nuneaton on the Leicestershire border just to eat here, as nowhere else compares. Everything on the menu is a must-try, but my personal favorite is the soup - it's delicious! Thank you from a loyal customer who has been coming since you first opened. My only advice would be to place your order quickly, as the soup sells out fast. The curry is also highly recommended. Anjai and Jason.
