The English Tea Room Eatery - Covington

Last Friday, our group of ten had reservations to celebrate before a special occasion at English Tea Room. We let the manager know when making the reservations that we had a time constraint, as we were headed to graduation for our daughter-in-law with her PhD from the Baptist Theological College right after brunch. Went on Saturday 10th of December to celebrate my daughter and Mom’s birthday’s. Had reservation for 4:00 pm, was sat on Patio was supposed to had been on covered porch. The table was set with clear cups and saucers that didn’t match, the sugar bowl didn’t have a cover. Silverware was mis-matched also. Was given a waitress that took our order and then got off and was taken over by another waitress. Cool idea, neat concept, but very overpriced with terrible service. I really wanted to like it here, but couldn't. I think the Tea Room could be so much better with attentive service (which is part of what makes the experience)!

Found this place accidentally and so glad I did. Even without a reservation, they were able to accommodate me for high tea. The food was wonderful but the tea was so good--try the Pissaro's Masterpiece blend!

Came alone, they refused to seat me. didn't close for another 2.5 hours. very rude
