True Grain Bread - Cowichan Bay

Yummmmmmmm! What a treat this place was--a delicious bakery in a beautiful locationWe tried a variety of pastries and breads for breakfast.

Organic, ancient grains, milled themselves, locally sourcedthis place sells out, and no wonder, with the quality that they offer up.

I love bakeries but the ginger snaps were a little dry and the shortbread was just average. _However the store looks cool.

Plenty of different bread and pastry and some really good coffee as well. Small sitting area as a cool hangout too.

This is the kind of place where the aromas catch you half way down the street and draw you in. Decadent pastries and good hearty loves of bread. Prices are a bit steep (compared to your regular grocery loaf of bread) but so well worth it. The ginger cookies were so good I am craving them 2 days later. Get there early and try the local fruit danishes - they sell out quickly.
