Villa Eyrie Resort - COWICHAN VALLEY

The restaurant was beautifully peaceful and had a breathtaking view. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious. My only criticism was that when they offered my husband the option of butler or tenderloin, they failed to mention the $25 additional charge. This resulted in a somewhat surprising total bill of $64.

Even though the atmosphere and service were excellent, the food at this restaurant was not up to par. While the appetizers were tasty, the lunch options were too heavy, like the Steak Frites. I had hoped for a breakfast menu, but the server mentioned it was not available at noon. I had trouble finding a suitable option, like Eggs Benedict, and ended up settling for a salad appetizer that left me unsatisfied.

I always have a fantastic time at Alpina Restaurant. My recent visit for Valentine's Day dinner did not disappoint. A big thank you to Jack, Camerson, and the entire team at Alpina Restaurant at Villa Eyrie Resort.

We had the best post-engagement dinner! Our server Cameron was outstanding! He made great recommendations on the menu and accompaniments. Food was amazing. View unbeatable. Vibes were perfect. We'll be back again.

Jamie (young lady) was our server and was very good. She indicated this was only her second shift which was not obvious. The food, presentation and timing was relaxing and enjoyable. As per usual it was a pleasurable and great get away for Janine and I. Doug
