Went with my girlfriend and we had very different experiences, most likely due to bad luck on my part. My girlfriend had the roast beef sandwich costing 130 pesos. She rated it five stars out of five amazing bread, dressing and served with a lot of fresh salad. The agua was also great. I on the other hand had a gazpacho and I was not satisfied at all afterwards. It lacked any sort of discernible taste and even though the idea of adding mint to it was innovative I felt it took over most of the taste. I added a lot of salt to it to get some taste out of it but it just ended up tasting only like salt. All in all, read reviews before going and ask for items that others have recommended before you.
We was in Galatea having lunch and it was a really explosion of taste on every single dish we order. It's a cafe but they elaborate everything with passion and details like first class restaurants. And in my opinion it wasn't expensive at all. A must try!
I came specifically to try out a new place. It is very clean and nice place and it was open on a festive day. It would be nice to come back and see if it goes crazy on a normal day (today it looks post apocalyptic, nearly no one in the city). Sadly my experience was not good, they forgot my food so I waited and waited until I reminded them TWICE that I was there. After that they did try to make up for it, complimentary chocolate with chili and someone did come out and showed her face (thumbs up for this waitress). Chai and Matcha were awesome! My food was really good (a take on tamagoyaki), price was just fine for the quality food they served and it’s made in the moment. Decor is simple but I liked it since it’s small and with more stuff it would have looked cluttered. All in all I would have waiters to come visit the tables more often, not only when they see empty dishes. I would definitely come back with my family and give it another chance.
I went here with my family and was immediately transported to a Silver Lake cafe (I am from LA and the city of Silver Lake is a frequent hangout spot for me). Although small, it has a very millennial design. The menu was very simple offering one main course and soup which changed daily in addition to a variety of sandwiches, salads and pastries. All the food was fantastic, however I must make a special mention on the desert and coffee. Simply amazing!
