Del Sur Argentina Empanadas & Grill

Our 1st night we had dinner here and we cannot wait to come back on our next vacation. Great Mezcal margaritas, awesome empanadas, great burgers and wonderful milanesas.

Honestly, I do not have one single negative comment to say about this restaurant. A new place on our list to try that we've never been too, so glad we did. I had made reservations through the Facebook sight, response was fast and my info was all taken down. The restaurant has been here for awhile. I've always passed it while walking around town. Open, nice feeling when you walk in definite Soccer vibe going on. Service was excellent, very attentive. We ordered drinks while perusing the menu. Food ordered were the Chopped Beef Empanadas, Grilled Angus Flank Steak (which was big enough for my friend and I to share) and the Skirt Steak, all ordered to be grilled medium rare. All the steak dishes come with a salad, mashed potatoes or fries. The Empanadas came out first, so good, big and filled with the chopped meat. Salad came out next, also delicious, love the dressing. Steaks came out last. The Skirt Steak cooked perfectly the Flat iron steak needed a little more on the grill. The kitchen gladly obliged and was done perfectly. We had a very enjoyable relaxing dinner. Thank you. Atmosphere: open, nice feel, soccer vibe. Service: excellent. Food Excellent.

Food was just okay. Empanadas were over cooked and lacked content ingredients. We have had them in Buenos Aires). A good choice for dining not overwhelmed by tourists. Staff very nice. Our foursome tried a burger, salmon, empanadas, etc. Tomatoes not ripe enough in Caprese salad.

We returned to Del Sur and the ambience, quality of delicious empanadas and wine is definitely a step up from the average, the chocolate filled empanadas on request are delectable

We had an amazing meal here! Appetizers: empanadas and beef carpaccio Entree: rib eye, NY Strip, and beef skewers, with French fries and salads Dessert: empanadas The steaks were cooked perfectly as ordered and well seasoned (and this is coming from a Texan). The side of fries was big enough for the table to share. The dessert empanadas were all amazing (dulce de leche, Nutella, and white chocolate and berry). Drinks were also excellent. Impeccable service. Salvatore was an excellent waiter! Prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend for a nice dinner in Cozumel. Tip: They validate parking in the parking lot across the street.
