I'm not sure exactly how to rate this one. It's a small, but busy quesadilla shop. Lots of locals stopping in and taking breakfast to go. We went for breakfast our last morning in Cozumel and enjoyed several different quesadillas. They are about $1 each! BUT then I started feeling sick on the way home, and then my daughter threw up. The only thing we ate that was different from the rest of the family was egg in one of our quesadillas. So while it was great for breakfast, I don't think I would risk it again.
Well we walked past Dona Dilla on our way to do laundry at Margarites down the street and it smelled amazing! But it being a tiny little place and no idea how it would be we were not so sure on stopping in. But after dropping off our clothes we decided to take a chance on it! First off, it is just a small little place with no air so it was pretty hot in there but still all the tables were being used so that made us more comfortable! If locals like it we figured we must be in a great spot! They did also have menus in English and Spanish which was nice. There was a women standing over a hot stove making fresh tortillas the whole time we were there! We ordered a few chicken tacos, a quesadilla and a coke for around $5 bucks! Could not beat that price either! And although we were not for sure they understood our order it came out perfect! And man oh man was it delish! Everything tasted very fresh and we couldn't have been happier with our lunch! We do love to try off the beaten path places and we felt like this was one but would definitely go back on our next visit to Cozumel! Its a short walk from the Mega if you happen to be shopping and are in the mood for great food!
