Tip for your trip to the airport, go 30 minutes early, check your bag, go outside the airport to the front road, go straight to the roundabout near Avis. Take the road 10 minutes and it is on the right side. Very small Taqueria. Eat your lunch and taxi or go back. Wonderful.
I was lost after I left the airport (I followed my sister to her flight) and decided to get the best out of him and eat something in the neighborhood where I found myself. When I came in, there were some locals. Mother and daughter cooked and ordered together. They don't speak English and I don't speak Spanish, but it was a problem because I just wrote on elements I wanted on the map on the wall. I got tortillas with chorizo and they were really fresh, full of taste and burning hot because they had just made them. Since they could not offer mineral water, I got a sweet homemade drink. I think it was water with sugar. All the things I got were just really homemade, fresh and tasty and of a quality that you would never find in such a favorable place in the USA or Great Britain or Scandinavia. A real Mexican experience, I think. But of course, if you're an American tourist and you want waiters who smile at you because their boss taught them so and offer you welcome in English language and play with your children and give plastic laminated menus and offer children's menu derived from all offensive flavors, this cannot go the place.
11 of us went for supper, that's about the capacity of this little place. Tostados, quesadillas, tacos, tortas were all excellent for a dirt cheap price. The only pass would be on the panuchos super greasy unless you have a craving for a...fried masterpiece. total for 11 people to stuff themselves 412 pesos, about $32.
We can't pass this little place up, and our friends are starting to make it their taqueria of choice. 3 meals there during our trip this year, and every one as good as ever. Panuchos from heaven!
Great! Must try!!! Great little mother and pop place to get very cheap, fresh, authentic tacos. You don't speak much English, but the service is great and you can only point out what you want to try.
