Great food great prices great staff! Its centrally located in downtown. Its a simple resto with no aircon. But they have elctric fans going…..Will be back!

Delicious Mexican food! Guacamole is the best in the island. Fabulous taco platter for the family three of us couldn’t finish it. Great service from friendly, charming staff.

We popped in for a nice cold drink and lunch. My husband got the coconut shrimp which he said were delicious. They looked incredible. I had the veggie tacos and asked for extra picante which the servers gave me three choices, which was nice. Queso is like a fundido. Margaritas were huge and a good balance of flavor.

Had the guacamole along with the steak tacos and this was some of the best food I’ve had anywhere in Cozumel. Large portions and super friendly staff to top it all off.

I happened upon this small cantina just a block off the water when I was out walking my first day in Cozumel. The outside tables were shade so I sat down for a quick lunch of an arrachera burrito. The burrito was basic but flawless and delicious, as were the house made salsas smoky roja and gentle verde. I noted that they had several choices of molcajetes. The next day I came back for molcajetes (the only picture I took). I chose the mixte lobster, shrimp, queso, beef, chicken, chorizo, cebolitas, avocado. All fresh and delicious. This day the salsas were the roja and a habanero a little went a long way. Today I enjoyed one of the freshest ceviches I have ever had, seasoned perfectly and beautifully presented. If you are looking for an excellent casual restaurant with very friendly staff and great basic food I recommend Machete.
