Muak - COZUMEL

Popsicles are either made with juices or milk based. Very interesting tastes like avocado, butter, cheese, coconut, coffee, etc. Their sorbets come with liquor cajeta with rum, tamarind with mescal, raspberry with vodka, lime with tequila. None of these are in cold cases you can see. You have to request from a menu on the wall. Everything is stored in freezers in the back. Taste good but the service leaves much to be desired. There are no fans or AC in the place so it is very hot. Love the menu, the idea, but the service and the air could improve. Each popsicle comes in three sizes 90gr, 120gr, and 150gr. Each sorbet comes in one, two or three scoops. Very reasonable pricing.

With some flavours very interesants like tequila and fruits, Muak is THE place to go to enjoy delicious ice creams all made at home ! Try Rhum/Coco or Pineapple/Tequila !

Huge list of flavors both milk and non-milk based paletas (ice pops). We tried coconut, soft toffee and tamarind. All were excellent. A must try in Cozumel!

Muak has somewhat unusual paletas in that they come in a little plastic cup. This means that you have something catch the drips or someplace to set down an unfinished paleta. These are very good artisanal paletas. I had mantequilla (butter) though I can 't say it tasted like butter. In the US this would be called sweet cream it was great. These are rich, high-butterfat paletas worth every peso. Paletas are clearly the specialty here since there were only 2 helados: coconut and vanilla. You 'll be glad you went.
