Many of the employees are family members of the owner and chef chef diego, who is one of the most beautiful people they will ever meet.
We have friends who are staying on the island for months. We insisted they come they this place for the Ceviche and Whole fried fish. As with our first visit it was great. I’m not a huge ceviche fan as it can be hit or...miss and bad ceviche can ruin my appetite. NOT HERE!!!! They have the best ceviche I’ve ever had, no hyperbole. It is fresh and has the right amount of acidity with the fresh cilantro added. The small size is enough for 4 . I can’t imagine what the large looks like. Then it’s on to the Whole fried fish. Last year my wife got it and I didn’t . I didn’t make that mistake twice. They use fresh hogfish and perfectly fry them. They come out piping hot and fork tender. The flesh flakes right off the bone. It is so tasty. Served with slaw using the same dressing as the ceviche and great garlicky rice. It is satisfying but not over filling. And the beer is ICE COLD. Perfecto.
I discovered this place 9 years ago, when a local friend of mine brought me here for lunch. A hidden gem away from the main street. For those of you who are a little concerned about getting off the beaten path or straying away from...your hotel, this place cannot be missed and is extremely safe! I'm a single woman who takes a cab by herself to eat here at least once or twice during my annual trip! Just snap a picture of the name and address and show it to the cab driver. They will be able to take you straight there with no problem. I always order the shrimp and conch ceviche. I never had conch before coming, but a friend encouraged me to try it and I fell in love! I also get a garlic shrimp to go because I want to have a yummy meal for the next day! This place is full of character and has been a staple on the island for decades. For less than a $5 cab fare, you will not be disappointed. Trust me, I'm from Louisiana and love my seafood!
Our annual stop When ever we are in Cozumel we go to Pescaderia!! It is a 10 minute walk from the main road and worth every step . If you are looking for fresh authentic Mexican food this is your place. It is a...family owned and operated restaurant and they take pride in what they prepare. We will be going back there a lot on our trip because they are following similar Covid precautions similar to USA. I am particular about food am very pleased with this restaurants dishes .
A family-run restaurant before the beaten away, which I recommend when they are in cozumel! we had some of the most delicious kewitsche and the staff was all friendly and helpful.
