Welcoming atmosphere with the best authentic local food I can find.

In the past the food was excellent even for locals. Now the food tastes different because the old cooks not there anymore. And if they are, what has happened? The food is very salty now and it don't taste like New Orleans. I recently went here and this is what I experienced. Whomever did the cooking that day, it was horribly salted to the point where no one in my family ate it and to salvage some of it and not be completely wasteful, all we could do is skim some off the the top of the food. The atmosphere and the food were incredible. A true gem in New Orleans with exceptional service! We had the shrimp poboy and fries and chose to dine outside because the weather was perfect! Great experience, overall!
