Feedback gevenDelightful experience. Char-grilled flank steak and sauce was very good. Likewise, the grilled salmon with coconut curry was delicious. Servers were delightfully attentive, but seemed under staffed. Will definitely return.
We have been to this restaurant many times in it's old and new location. Pre-covid, it was actually pretty good but has gone downhill. The new location is better in terms of ambiance, and the service was better than it had been in the last few months at the old location. However, it still has a lot of issues. The chicken satay has always been a bit of a rip off. It is now just shy of $10, which wouldn't be expensive if the 4 skewers didn't in total contain probably 2oz of chicken (literally paper thin). The noodle dishes are decent but also are very, very light on the protein. The curries are just terrible. The potatoes should never be al dente (raw or near raw potatoes do not taste good and actually are terrible for digestion). Won't be going back any time soon.
Very loud in general but a crashing sound from the bar every 15 minutes or so was terrible. Sounded like bottles being thrown on a concrete floor. Very loud and obnoxious! Our wait staff said the bartender was disposing of bottles and didn't seem concerned. I doubt we will return.
I ordered the Tom soup, it was delicious. Also got an appetizer, potstickers.
I have always loved my dining experiences at Sukhothai, but my recent visit to their new location left me extremely disappointed. While the atmosphere was nice, the overall quality of the food and service has significantly declined.Firstly, let's talk about the dumplings. They were the driest dumplings I've ever had in my entire life. It felt like they had been microwaved or left under lights for too long. I could barely chew them, and they completely lacked any flavor.To make matters worse, I thought I ordered the 3 flavor fish with shrimp and scallops, but I only received the fish. When I brought this to the attention of the waitress, she nonchalantly informed me that there are two versions of the 3 flavor fish on the menu, and the kitchen send me the one without shrimp and scallops. How was I supposed to know that? As a minimum expectation, the staff should have clarified which version I wanted before taking my order.Based on this disappointing experience, I highly doubt that I will ever be returning to Sukhothai's new location. The decline in food quality, coupled with the poor service, has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I expected much better from a restaurant that I have previously enjoyed.
