Yumi Bento Japanese - CRAIGIE

This is my second visit to the Nedlands location. I ordered the ramen both times. The first time, it was really good, and I’ve been raving about it ever since. However, my second and final visit was disappointing. The broth lacked flavor and was too watery for my taste. Additionally, the water bottle caps were dirty, with visible black spots on them. Very unappealing.

Not too bad for a small, succulent piece of sashimi that complements the restaurant well. They have a decent selection, but adding an extra dish or ten to the menu would definitely enhance the offerings.

Yesterday I visited here as I had some good experiences with such places. I ordered chilihuhn my partner ordered bark teriyaki, both with rice a common drink $23). on the first time that food arrived, I was not impressed. it looked like it was literally thrown together, there was hardly any flesh that the rice was a strange texture. the chili huhn was just that, no other taste than chili my partner bark was cheap cuts of meat with a hauch of taste off teryiak. we're finished left! We decided not to eat here again. When I arrived at home, I felt a little sick, I could continue with our night at dinner, I couldn't eat, I was totally painful. read more

This restaurant has been around for a few years and offers an authentic Japanese menu that is both fresh and delicious. The Bento boxes and sushi are also quite good. The staff is consistently friendly, and the place is clean with reasonable prices. It's definitely one of the best dining options in Joondalup.

This is more of a cafe than a restaurant but damm if the food isn't great! It's your standard Japanese Bento/sushi place but it's run and staffed by actual Japanese people and it makes all the difference. The food is always VERY fresh and you have the usual range of sushi rolls, bento boxes etc for take aways but its worth sitting down and having an in house bento meal such as teriyaki chicken or kara age etc etc. For example with the teriyaki chicken for $14.50 you get Miso soup, the bento tray which comes with not only the main teriyaki chicken but also side salad, 2 sushi rolls, vinegared salad, and fried tofu and hard boiled egg in a sticky sweet sauce.
