Not possible for me to properly write how truly unique and incredible this place is. Owners are simply amazing and super hospitable hosts. Its the old west, a movie set, a museum, history come alive. Serene environment day and night makes for maximum relaxing. Stars are incredible when the sun goes down. Heated pool and kitties galore. Water smells like it has a high sulfur content, but its totally safe and does not make your skin smell from showering. Its slightly remote, but not difficult to get to. WIFI is OK in certain locations, but our US Cellular service worked there too. Gravel roads are a little wash boarded, but nothing unusual, typical farm roads, any car can get to it. You need reservations ahead of time, 2 day minimum, we stayed for 4 and wish we planned for longer. Located close to toadstools and approximately 30-40 minutes to fort Robinson and maybe an hour to Chadron State park. Currently no food service on site. They have a gas grill, stove, refrigerator with freezer to use on site while there, so bring cooking supplies for as long as you plan to stay. Bring some comfy outdoor chairs, some bottled water and stay a while. You wont be disappointed!
Are you a fan of cowboy life, old west towns, the beauty of the badlands, and kitties? If so then this is a place for you. This “glampground” in western Nebraska is amazing and unique. Like staying in a museum where you can actually play with the artifacts. The rooms are well kept and comfortable but the front porch is a little piece of heaven. You can bring your own linens or pay a little extra to have them provided. Snacks available onsite but you can also bring and fix your own meals in the community kitchen or grill. Heated pool is nice for cooling off on hot days. Close to Fort Robinson and Toadstool Geological Park. Rock hounds and fossil hunters welcome. The owners are hardworking but friendly and will go out of their way to accommodate your needs or just to chat. Reservations and a 2 night minimum stay are required. Did I mention the kitties?? There are dozens of “working” cats and kittens roaming around and some are even tame enough for petting. Loved our stay here and the relaxing solitude.
Stopped to have a picnic with the kids on Mother's day. Owners were very friendly and the place is AMAZING! Would definitely recommend a stop here!
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was very quiet, and the rooms were fully equipped. Given the low price, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed for three days for a hunting trip, and the location was really convenient for my hunting activities.
