Visit here regularly, sausage n chips or pie n chips and a hot cuppa tea, very disabled friendly ...
There are many set menus to choose from, mostly of the all day breakfast variety. Good for cheap eats, comes with a drink. Average price about £6 for meal and drink. Good service. But be prepared that many of the customers will be choosing between this and Wetherspoons, so a lot of people who are in B B type premises while they wait for Council rehoming, or homeless. So if you are snobby, it's not for you.
After a morning of looking a various car at a nearby used car dealership, my mum and I found ourselves hungry! So into Crawley we headed, not having any idea of where we was going or what we wanted to eat. We walked round a bit checking out the various big chains offerings off food, all of which we dismissed for one reason or another. Starting to get really hungry as if we was starved and not eaten for a year, we discovered this little gem of a cafe’ a glowing beam of light was shining bright above. We glance over the menu and both agree this was the place where our starvation will come to an end! Upon entering we was greeted warmly, my mum choose the cod chips and peas, myself the beef and onion pie with gravy chips and beans. The portions were just right not to big not to small, the food was served hot and tasted lovely. The beverage of choice was tea, the mugs were a good size and the tea was hot upon arrival. The meal came to £15.00, which for 2 teas and 2 mains is excellent value. Will definitely remember and recommend this lovely cafe’, it’s just as a greasy spoon should be. Wide menu choice, fabulous staff, great prices and fantastic food.
My son and I have been here twice now, and the service, food and coffee is always good. It’s a good little cafe that’s always busy, which says a lot.
