We thought we would just grab a quick drink but ended up staying for lunch : I am Gluten Free and had a galette yum ! The others ordered a savoury galette or sweet crepe as well. Perfect Sunday lunch on the go. Service was not so much slow as French embrace it, everything is just that much less rushed in France ... one of the nice things about coming ; Reasonably priced too a couple of beers, couple of juices, and crepes/galettes for 4 was 30E.
Poor service, terrible food , slow , poor waitress on her own for some of the time. Starter obviously been ready for a long time before vrought to table... very dry .....
We came here a year ago and this time it suited us again to hop straight from Bergerac airport to a quick bite, before moving on. The menu de jour was €12.40 this time. Onion Tarte for starters then there was a choice of 3 things. My wife had slow roasted pork, I had confit de canard €2 supplem). Both simple but cooked well. 2 small carafes of wine, 2 creme brûlée and 2 coffees, total bill €39.00. Can't beat that for value.
When we go shopping we often call in here for lunch. Never tried it in the evening. Good menu de jour for 11 Euros. Lots of locals eat here and gets busy, rightly so as its a nice and unpretencious place. Their mouclade (lightly curried mussels) is also very good. Next to Intermarche in Bergerac (used to be Carrefour).
This is my go to place for pizza. always good and fresh ingredients. owner is also very friendly. try the bacon pineapple pizza combo .cant go wrong.
