The Croft Tea Rooms - Croft-on-Tees

Great stay, lovely room spacious and bright. Food was delicious and hearty, but this was all brought together by friendly and professional staff. Well worth a visit.

My partner and I went for a meal. I ordered the tempura vegetables for starters. Oh my word! They were delicious! Why have I never eaten tempura vegetables before? I may just go back one day and order two helpings and have it as a main course!! For my main I had the sizzling chicken platter. It too was delicious. The portion size was huge! So much so that I asked for the rest in a take home box, which they seemed a little surprised at. Has no one ever asked before I wonder? And then dessert. There's always room for dessert. I had the chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce and ice cream. Yummy. Service became a little slow as the place started to fill and it is maybe a little pricey, but an enjoyable meal and I will be going back....... If only for the tempura vegetables!!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the dining experience was excellent with flawless service. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, and the bathroom was clean and tidy, featuring a modern rainfall shower. The only minor issues were that the shower control was a bit faulty, and there was some noise from the street that came through the window. Overall, we had a fantastic experience, thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and would not hesitate to return.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway with a dinner, bed, and breakfast package. The dinners on both nights featured generous portions, though the cooked breakfast could have been served hotter. Our room was cozy, though slightly on the smaller side. The hotel itself is full of charm, with comfortable armchairs and real fireplaces. We were pleasantly surprised to find extra towels, coffee/tea, and toilet paper provided without us even asking. Overall, it was a delightful stay!
