The additional extras were ok the. rosti and the hispi cabbage. The “coal” dessert was nice. The atmosphere was dreadful, quiet and dreary, it was like an old folks home. Service from the young waiters was good but again did I think I was in a 5star restaurant? Nope. I had to polish mine and my husbands wine glass which clearly had been placed on the table straight from the dishwasher. The head waitress had a blue plastic glove on which I understand is standard practice if she has a cut or similar, but it was hanging off her hand, which was off putting. Everything was stunning. The food. The service. The location. The view. I think this was the best meal I have ever eaten. I loved the coal theme running through the meal. The gravy was to die for. Worth every penny and I will definitely return. Thankyou Tom and staff! Had a lovely Friday evening with fantastic service from a really friendly and professional bunch of staff starting with the cocktails at the bar through to the main meal in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend. Food was amazing too. The popcorn pheasant was delicious as was the beef and seabass. Great sides too. Again would highly recommend. The setting of the Knipe Grill is stunning beautiful and the chance to walk around the lake on a beautiful evening before our deserts was memorable. Genuinely would almost rather not leave this feedback as we love the Knipe Grill so much we’d rather keep it quiet how wonderful it is that doesn’t feel fair on the exceptional staff and the thought and detail that has clearly gone into the whole place. Scrumptious food, well executed with friendly staff and stunning views! Chefs surprise to start were a welcome treat, I especially loved the Branston pickle butter for the bread! Each course was delicious with lots of thoughtful elements, every bite a new surprise, and I could have quite easily sat there all night drinking jugs of the amazing proper gravy!
